For University of Oxford students and staff, professionals, alumni, and lifelong learners alike.
Our Languages for All programmes are available to learners who want to develop their language skills for study, research, work, travel or personal interest.
We offer a range of programmes to suit different goals, levels and learning preferences.
Choose a flexible General Programme, make faster progress through our Fast Track Programme, develop academic language skills, or focus on the vocabulary and communication skills needed for a particular subject or professional context.
All courses combine expert teaching, purposeful communication and guided independent learning. Our programmes are aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), supporting clear progression from beginner to advanced levels.

Languages for All - at a glance
General Programme
Develop practical communication
skills flexibly alongside your studies,
research or work or just for pleasure
•1 academic year = 1 stage (3 parts)
•Term-by-term commitment
•6 weeks per term; 90-minute weekly classes
•Optional assessment at the end of Trinity term
Fast Track Programme
For motivated learners wanting to progress more quickly and keen to achieve more
•1 academic year = 2 stages
•Full academic year commitment
•22 weeks across the academic year; 2-hour weekly classes
•Continuous assessment (with possibility for learners to opt out)
Academic Reading Programme
Develop the language knowledge,
reading strategies and analytical skills needed to become an independent reader
•1 academic year = 1 stage (3 parts)
•Term-by-term commitment
•6 weeks per term; 90-minute weekly classes
•Optional assessment at the end of Trinity term
