An Open Forum discussion event took place on Tuesday 7 May as part of the consultation relating to proposed changes to the Language Centre Library.
The event was chaired by Dr Steve Rayner, Senior Tutor, and included presentations from Dr Saira Shaikh, Academic Registrar, and Dr Jane Sherwood, Director of the Language Centre.
The presentation slides from the event have now been published. A report of the event is also online, outlining the wide range of questions and comments that were raised, as well as some of the information that was shared by the panel in response.
The questions and views raised at the Open Forum are now being considered by the Language Centre and the Bodleian Libraries, and will inform the ongoing consultation process. We would like to take the opportunity to thank those who attended the event, and for sharing their views.
A paper on the proposals and consultation will be considered by the General Purposes Committee of Council on 1 July. This committee will then make a recommendation to Council on 15 July 2019.
An online survey was open until 12 noon on Friday 31 May. The consultation on the proposals concerning the Language Centre library closed on Friday 31 May (week 5) as previously advised. More information will be published on the Language Centre website as it becomes available.
