This course is intended for any partners of University staff or students, whose level is intermediate (CEFR B1) or above. It is also open to any departmental or college staff looking to improve their spoken English

Course overview
The aims of this course are to:
Improve your general confidence, fluency and accuracy in English
Develop the language and skills needed in a range of everyday situations
Increase your vocabulary
Improve your pronunciation
Revise and extend essential areas of grammar
Give you guidance on using online resources to improve your English outside of class
Learning outcomes
Increase your fluency in English on a range of topics
Improve your English pronunciation and practice listening for gist and detail
Revise some basic grammatical areas, and work on your own accuracy, gaining an awareness of errors you commonly make
Increase your vocabulary on selected topics and everyday situations, and have a better understanding of how vocabulary functions in English
Learn more about life in Britain and Oxford
A certificate of attendance is available upon request if you have attended at least 80% of the course.
